The PGA of America has created a Tiger Feast…they may or may not know it but Eldrick is going to win more PGAs than any of the other majors.
Not because it’s an inferior tournament…just the opposite. It will be the result of knowing how to set up a golf course for a major championship. High rough, fast greens, narrow fairways.
Call it Open Lite, and it’s happy hour for His Tigerness.
The poor PGA…it’s last on the calendar so we’ll take it but it deserves so much better. If it weren’t for PGA members most of us wouldn’t know how to play…yet the tournament is 4th by a big margin in prestige.
Note to The Powers That Be: Wait until October to play the PGA…it’s too hot in 99% of North America to play golf in the second week of August and the last time I looked we aren’t playing in Maine or Northern Minnesota eh? Golf fans will watch in October…don’t sweat the ND/BC game, that’s just three hours on Saturday plus we understand The PGA, unlike the FedUp Cup.
Hell, we’ll even tailgate!
